The Date for the 2011 Pageant is yet to be announced! Every December, Guzoo presents a re-enactment of The Christmas Story. Friends and family of the Guzoo and members of community churches volunteer their time to take part in this fabulous experience either by playing a part in the play or serving hot chocolate and cookies to the spectators.
The play is directed by Lynn's daughter Kathy Hildenbrand who designed and fabricated all the costumes for the performance. She single-handedly casts and dresses all the participants and directs the play without a single rehearsal. Remarkable!
This play is a must see because, unlike other pageant plays, this one incorporates real live animals. The shepherds have their sheep, Mary rides in on a donkey, live animals are in the stable and the wise men have their camel.
The show is performed for two nights and admission is free with a food donation to the food bank. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own mug for free hot chocolate and cookies. Dress warmly, because the play will go on, regardless of the weather conditions.
