The Guzoo is a safe heaven for hundreds of cats and dogs. Each year the Guzoo takes in and re-homes close to 500 cats and 200 dogs. Most of these pets were unwanted animals... the result of accidental or irresponsible breedings. Many are legitimate rescues whose owners, do to unforeseen circumstances, were forced to surrender them.
Guzoo now charges a small surrender and adoption fee to help cover costs of feeding and maintaining these animals.
We currently have no dogs needing a home as of Sept. 25, 2009.
The small adoption fee asked by the GuZoo barely covers the cost of caring for all these animals. Your donation dollars would be greatly appreciated. We currently are fund raising to purchase more washed gravel to line the dogs runs. The washed rock is more expensive then regular gravel but drains better and keeps the dogs free of mud and clay found in ordinary gravel. New large stainless steel food and watering bowls seem to always be needed as well.
