The GuZoo Animal Farm cannot exist without donation dollars. The GuZoo is a privately owned and operated business and is not eligible for government funding. Admission fees alone do not cover the ever increasing costs of animal care.
Feed, (hay, grain, fruit, supplements, rodent pellets, dog and cat food)
Veterinarian and medications (dewormers, vaccinations, special emergencies)
Fuel (to operate the feed and water tractors)
Electricity
Natural gas (to heat the four buildings housing animals in the winter)
Staff salaries
All the items listed above are just some of the expenses GuZoo must face daily all year around. We are constantly in need of funding to maintain and improve animal enclosures. Ultimately, when money is contributed in anyway, it helps buffer the general costs of zoo operation, and the animals in turn benefit.
Donating money is one way to contribute. Thank you if this is your chosen way to help out. However, many, many people find it much more rewarding to buy items and bring them to the GuZoo. We very much appreciate that too.

40lb bags of feed (rabbit food, dog food, cat food, oats, cubed alfalfa, etc.)

large stainless steel feed dishes (for dogs, cats, skunks, raccoons, rabbits, guinea pigs)

wooden posts (to build or improve fences)

salt licks/ mineral licks (for cattle, horses, goats and deer)

lumber (to build anything or repair something)

blankets (for our bottle fed baby animals or for a cold new born goat found out in the rain)

bags of wood shavings

paint or wood stain

bird toys (toys for our birds get dirty and destroyed and must be replaced regularly)

climbing ladders (for raccoons, monkeys, lemurs)

apples (from your back yard trees)

old freezer meat (meat too old for you to eat is still very good for our big cats)
