Hello Friend and welcome. My name is Irene and I want to tell you about our farm. 18 Years ago, a silly man got a wonderful idea...and Guzoo was born! In 1990 the GuZoo became a licensed zoo under the government of
Alberta. Since then the GuZoo has grown to become Canada's largest private zoo (as quoted by The National Post). A private zoo means it is privately owned and funded (no government funding).
GuZoo's philosophy is that animals can educate. Here we allow hands on with many baby exotic animals. Where else can you help bottle feed a baby tiger? Guzoo offers the public fun and safe hands on interactive experience with many exotic animals.
GuZoo has become a sanctuary and retirement home to many animals, domestic and exotic. We also have a large dog adoption program. Here you can meet the dogs currently needing homes.
The Guzoo is a family owned and operated zoo open to the public all year around. Their collection of over 400 animals is a delight to children and adults alike.
There is a snack shop, and museum of farm antiques, camping site with picnic area and fire pits, all for the public to enjoy.
We have many opportunities for the public to get involved. The GuZoo photo display board or the sponsor an animal program and The GuZoo News are just some ways you can feel part of this amazing adventure.
Price of Admission is $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for children. Children 4 and under are free!
We are sorry, but GuZoo cannot accept Debit or Credit Cards. Cash or Check only please.
