The Friends of GuZoo Society and other private fund raising efforts have raised nearly $6000.00 to go towards the new lion enlcosure. Plans are still in the works but the GuZoo hopes to provide their existing collection of four lions a new enclosure encompassing 2 to 3 acres of open space. The new lion habit will have a watering hole and cave with perhaps a rocky vantage point for the lions to survey the land and sun themselves. This new enclosure is estimated to cost $20,000 so further fund raising is needed. However, the GuZoo aspires to have the enclosure completed summer of 2008.
