Thanks to generous donations and a Friends of GuZoo Society summer long fund raiser the animals at GuZoo are enjoying their new Boomer Balls.
The wolf pups and the young lion needed no coaxing to engage in their new toy.The two pups were tripping over each other in their eagerness to play.
The adult Tiger Jackson, however, thought it was a bit too warm to be frolicking with a ball. But in the end we got some good photos. I really thought the mini donkeys would bat the balls around with their nose (I have seen them have loads of fun with buckets and a stray cloth) but I was proven wrong. The donkeys showed absolutely no interest. Perhaps it was too hot. Who knows.
Spunky the snow monkey needing a little time to get to know his Boomer Ball. He only tentatively reached out to touch it while we were watching. Perhaps tomorrow he will gain courage and find amusement in his new toy.
The lemurs were a real treat to watch. They are naturally inquisitive and it took only seconds for them to seek out and examine the strange object in their enclosure.
Thanks again to the Friends of GuZoo Society members who worked to hard to make this all happen. And thank you to all you donated money to contribute to this grand outcome!
